No half-measures will do on the spiritual path<\/em>. &#8211; Swami Sivananda<\/p>\n<p>Meditate on these 12 virtues for 10 minutes each day&#8230;<br \/>\n1. Humility in January<br \/>\n2. Arjava &#8211; Frankness, in February<br \/>\n3. Courage in March<br \/>\n4. Patience in April<br \/>\n5. Karuna &#8211; Mercy, in May<br \/>\n6. Magnanimity in June<br \/>\n7. Sincerity in July<br \/>\n8. Pure Love in August<br \/>\n9. Generosity in September<br \/>\n10. Kshama &#8211; Forgiveness, in October<br \/>\n11. Samata &#8211; Balance, in November<br \/>\n12. Contentment in December<\/p>\n<p>Also meditate on Purity, Perseverance, Diligence and Cheerfulness.<\/p>\n<p>Imagine that you are in <em>actual<\/em> possession of these virtues. Say to yourself, &#8220;<em>I am patient. I will not get irritated from today. I will manifest this virtue in my daily life. I am improving<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Think of the advantages in possessing the month&#8217;s virtue, plus the practice of patience and the disadvantages of irritability. Difficulties may come to test you and thereby to help you strengthen your will, patience and power of endurance.<\/p>\n<p>Have patience first, second and last! This should be the motto for those seeking the inner light.<\/p>\n<p>Great things have small beginnings. All growth is gradual.
